MT Series Mold Temperature Controllers

Mold Temperature Controllers are available in a wide range of designs and sizes for a wide range of applications and throughput. With standard water-based units from 40-110 gallons per minute, to vacuum based units to eliminate mold leaks and hot oil units for temperatures up to575º, H2O has a mold temperature control unit that will meet your requirements. 

The MT Series temperature controllers give you precise control over the heat of your plastic molds, with microprocessor control to within 1º accuracy. The MT water series comes standard with premium solenoid valves and Incoloy heating elements, which resist corrosion better than copper or stainless steel. Plus, a lifetime warranty on the pump seal and the pump/heater casting. 

The MTO Series hot oil units automatically preheat the oil to 100ºF, and operate from 125ºF to 575ºF. The oil lines and circuitry are insulated for energy effi ciency and safety. 

The MTV Series vacuum units have a stainless steel centrifugal multi-stage pump, and a vacuum adjusting valve to eliminate leaks without pulling in air. 

UGS Announces New Solid Edge Motion Simulation and Animation Features 

UGS Corp. announced enhancements to motion simulation and animation within Solid Edge®.  Solid Edge Version 19 leverages UGS’ own D-Cubed technology to realistically simulate motion of assemblies and mechanisms through the Assembly Engineering Manager (AEM).  

The D-Cubed AEM component provides a streamlined capability to perform fast and accurate motion studies. Complementing additional new capabilities to explode, render and animate designs, motion simulation tools let Solid Edge users animate complete product function, utilizing components such as gears, pulleys and hydraulic cylinders while applying motors to generate movement. 

The AEM satisfies the rigorous demands of engineering design processes in Solid Edge through these key features:

• Provides accurate solutions directly on solid models, not using faceted approximations;

• Creates motion through pre-defined elements, such as motors, as well as interactive dragging with the mouse;

• Automatically simulates genuine 3D contact behavior between all geometry types;

• Computes twisting motion as contacting parts separate;

• Provides immediate results through interactive performance;

• Enables assembly/disassembly verification; and

• Supports contact-based mechanisms, previously difficult to fully simulate in a CAD system.

In addition to the AEM, D-Cubed develops a family of geometric software components that enable key functionality in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM applications, including sketching, part and assembly modeling, motion simulation and hidden line visualization. 

D-M-E Partnership Takes Hot Runner Technology Worldwide 

As part of an exclusive marketing agreement, D-M-E, a Milacron Company, will offer Polimold’s hot runner components worldwide. 

D-M-E announced on Oct. 16^th that it has formed an exclusive corporate partnership agreement with Polimold Industrial, S.A., Latin America’s largest provider of mold bases and hot runner systems.  The partnership is a culmination of a 20-year distributor relationship between the two companies.   

The D-M-E/Polimold partnership is unique in that it allows for products developed by one company to be manufactured by the other.  Polimold’s proven hot runner technology, including the new Polivalve valve gate hot runner system, reduces injection and cooling times, improves part appearance, and lowers costs.
