Beaumont to Release New Version of 5 Step Process™ Mold Balance Analysis Software 

Injection molders and moldmakers seeking to debug and commission molds more quickly than ever before can now turn to the 4th generation of the 5 Step Process™ mold balance analysis and filling diagnostic software from Beaumont Technologies, Inc. (BTI). The software package is available for purchase on a single license for one installation or a site license with unlimited installations. Also potential buyers can try the software without commitment by requesting a 30-day free trial. 

The 5 Step Process™ helps moldmakers and processors isolate variations and quantify mold imbalances by their root cause, typically shear-induced flow imbalances or steel variations in the mold itself. The last generation enabled processors to expand and use the soft-ware at plant locations worldwide, giving injection molders the ability to accommodate international installations (i.e. transfer information, for example from U.S. codes to Mandarin codes and adding a validation process during export functionality, among others).

The new, more versatile, 1.2 version will be demonstrated by BTI at the NPE Booth #11224.

Incoe Corp. to Feature Hot Runner Systems at NPE

With nearly 50 years of hot runner experience, INCOE® has developed performance proven hot runner systems for a wide range of molding applications. A large selection of modular components is available to create a custom-ized solution for precise melt delivery. Nozzles are offered with flow diameters ranging from Ø3mm (for parts weighing less than 1 gram) to as large as Ø25mm (for parts weighing up to 10 kg or more). Thirteen gating styles are offered for optimal processing of commodity or technical resins.

Progressive Components to Display Advanced Technologies at NPE

With the theme “Build It Fast and Make It Last and Last”, Progressive Components’ 3,000 sq. ft. booth will be home to some of the very latest technological advances for mold building and processing at NPE 2006.

At its booth, #4744, Progressive will demonstrate sophisticated molding technology with a demo mold manufactured by Electroform Company in Rockford, IL, in partnership with Engel and Serigraph.  Within this tool, three molding techniques are combined in a single part using cutting edge applications from Progressive.  These include in-mold finishing and assembly processes, eliminating any assembly work outside the molding machine. 

In addition, Progressive will be extending the industry standards with the addition of new components for lowering mold build time and making mold cooling more efficient.  

More new products from the company’s recently launched FrictionFree™ line will also be introduced.  The line is specially designed for cleanroom or close tolerance molding where the reduction or elimination of traditional lubrication agents is desired.  Plus, the company will host its VIP Happy Hour at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday of NPE week, complete with cold beverages, snacks and a Chicago blues band.
