HEADLINE PRODUCTS New iMARC™ Technology Promises to Revolutionize Injection Molding Beaumont Technologies, Inc. (BTI) introduces new technologies that will enable processors to better control and take advantage of these rheological changes...all without ever having to take the mold out of the press.
The iMARC systems are
not yet production-ready, but is scheduled to begin by early 2007. The basic premise of iMARC systems is to allow processors not only to dynamically optimize mold balance from cavity to cavity, but also as dynamically change and control the actual filling pattern within a given cavity...all without changing gate locations, part geometries, process conditions, or having to take the mold out of the press. Much like standard MeltFlipper® technology, these latest advancements are applicable in all cavity ranges and all molding materials, including single cavity molds and LCP materials. As a result of using rheological control technologies, users can optimize each mold for the particular product being produced and account for viscosity variations created naturally by different machine nozzles, material lot changes and sprue bushings.
INCOE® Introduces DF Gold Series Hot Runner System
Twin Heater - Incorporates two separate heating circuits in each nozzle heater. This redundancy provides for uninterrupted production if a single heater circuit failure should occur and allows for easy replacement during a planned maintenance period. A second heater thermocouple can also be added to provide another level of redundancy to the system. Gating Configurations - Several new tip designs have been added for increased flexibility for application solutions. Color Seal - A final solution for troublesome color change issues. The introduction of the new Color Seal traps the material and can easily be removed between color changes. Ceramic Manifold Insulation - Utilization of ceramic supports in DF Gold systems allows for a significant decrease in heat transfer from the system to the mold, reducing energy consumption and increasing thermal consistency across the melt delivery system.
UGS Introduces NX CAM Express UGS Corp. announced the launch of NX™ CAM Express – a new computer-aided design (CAD) neutral, Numerical Control (NC) programming application that can be used independently or as an integral part of the popular UGS Velocity Series™ portfolio of PLM solutions for the mid-market.
The NX CAM Express
software will be offered in pre-configured programming environments
that Each NX CAM Express package, including NX CAM Express Mill-Turn and the NX CAM Express Three-Axis Milling, is provided with tool-path verification, a post processor build and edit application, CAD translators and a machining parameters database. The software automatically selects key machining parameters from this database according to the machining operation, such as roughing or finishing, and the stock material, the tool dimensions and the targeted machine tool. This database will address the majority of materials machined in mold and die work.
