New Single Nozzles with Single Heater 

The new generation single nozzles developed by Thermoplay have been designed with a new concept in order to optimize the different control zones, cost reduction and to simplify electrical connections.

The heater strips previously included in the head have been replaced by a single heater of the latest technology which has been extended to cover all the nozzle body, including the head. This new heater keeps the temperature constant all along the nozzle surface. Therefore a single temperature control zone is all that is required for each single nozzle.

For this purpose a new single zone temperature controller, economic and very small, has been developed in order to control this type of injector.  Moreover these new single nozzles allow reduction of the electrical connections with consistent power saving, to optimize the production costs and the maintenance operations.

Thermoplay forecasts the application of this new concept throughout all the single nozzle types in the near future. The wide range of the available nozzle tips are suitable for molding most plastic material parts, including direct injection tips, extended tips for internal injection, tips for sprue injection. Different lengths and constructions allow the new single nozzles to match the various mould requirements.

PRIAMUS Shop Floor Control – The Professional Process Information System  

In injection molding, true process variations can be overlooked in spite of extensive machine data or an expensive infrastructure. Monitoring only machine data does not indicate these process variations and provides an incomplete representation about the state of production. 

PRIAMUS Shop Floor Control acquires, analyzes and manages process data based on cavity pressure and cavity temperature signals on a central server. It creates an overview of all eDAQ^TM data acquisition systems which are connected via network, as well as of their status. Optionally, machine data and status of all injection molding machines can be acquired and displayed as an overview. 

All data are saved on a server PC and managed in a central data base. The system is designed as a stand-alone webserver so every user can access this data base from his work station with or without wireless LAN.  

PRIAMUS Shop Floor Control combines comprehensive process monitoring and control options on each injection molding machine with the advantages of a central production monitoring system. The system processes and analyzes up to 128 analog measuring channels per molding machine without using any local PC on the machine.

New Clamping Plate from HASCO  

HASCO’s new K 101 Clamping Plate sports a sandwich design, with recess for locating ring, overhanging in a lateral direction. 

The clamping plate with integrated, permanently connected heat insul-ating plate K 101 is an innovative new development in the heat insu-lation of injection molding tools. 

The patent-pending design makes procurement, processing and installation of conventional heat insulating plates superfluous.  The K 101 is available in the common standard sizes.
