Kubotek USA Forms Partnership with PARTsolutions
A seamless interface has been built between KeyCreator3D CAD design software and PARTsolutions’ industry standard and digital parts system. The companies worked closely to ensure the KeyCreator software was able to present a highly accurate and detailed rendering of the PARTsolutions components, indistinguishable from manually created components. Direct support of PARTsolutions digital parts catalogs will save Kubotek USA’s mechanical CAD customers time and ensure design accuracy when standard parts are being integrated into a design. Use of part referenced assemblies, especially for parts recurring throughout a design, lowers the memory footprint of the design, thereby speeding modeling operations. Taking advantage of part references also allows users to save time and reduce errors when design modifications require a change to parts used repeatedly throughout the design. Access to PARTsolutions for KeyCreator parts libraries is currently available in Kubotek USA’s recently released KeyCreator Version 6.3.
Mastercam’s MR1 Enhances Toolpath Control
· Pencil Rest Material Optimization – The high speed machining Pencil toolpath has been enhanced to provide much smoother motion with fewer retracts when used with rest material. Also, Mastercam can now calculate the appropriate number of offset passes needed, based on tool diameter. · Core Roughing Trochoidal Controls –In MR1, Mastercam gives you the ability to control when and how the trochoidal motion occurs in a toolpath when machining harder materials. · Multiaxis Enhancements – Mastercam’s 5-Axis Flowline toolpath has been enhanced to support undercuts. The Advanced Multiaxis toolpaths have also been enhanced to support solid geometry. · Viewsheets – New to Mastercam, viewsheets will save time when working with multiple views or working with different levels at the same time. Viewsheets let you create different user-defined sheets consisting of the view orientation, zoom scale, and visible levels of the part. Bookmarks allow you to save a specific state inside the viewsheet and recall it later.
Build More Complex Molds in Less Time
The centering devices include standard, off-the-shelf housings for the shafts and nuts, which greatly simplify the tasks of designing, building and maintaining stack molds. The packages also increase opportunities for entry into multi-parting-line molds for mold builders looking to upgrade capabilities and competitiveness. For molders, standardized off-the-shelf replacement and wear components maximize uptime. Helical gear centering devices synchronize the two-parting-line openings, leading to further time savings. The system’s high-quality components significantly simplify stack mold maintenance, as well. The helical gear nuts include a nylon insert, designed as a fail-safe to protect mold investments.
Reduce Programming Time By Up to 80%
Seamlessly integrated with CimatronE NC, Automated Drill can automatically recognize hundreds of holes within seconds in 3, 4 or 5-axis. Advanced hole recognition algorithms take into consideration both geometric and non-geometric hole properties like threads and clearance. Holes are automatically sorted into groups and the system assigns the correct drilling sequence to each hole. Automated Drill is also fully integrated with CimatronE Mold and Die design, enabling automatic creation of holes with relevant geometric data when catalog parts are added to the assembly. Unique stock recognition capabilities take into consideration the stock existing above the hole before it is drilled, enabling operators to assign the appropriate drilling sequence for such holes. This is useful in places where drilling is performed before the milling operation and results in unprecedented time saving and elimination of user errors.
