UGS PLM Software Announces UGS NX CAM
UGS NX CAM Express is the full function, CAD neutral numerical control (NC) programming application in the UGS Velocity Series™ portfolio. It helps manufacturers increase the value of their machine tools by tailoring the programming system. UGS NX CAM Express V5 introduces Free Flow Machining, a new approach to generating toolpaths. DTR QuickShot Offers Real-Time View of Shop Floor DTR, a Consona business unit and leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for plastics processors and manufacturers, announced a strengthened partnership and integration with SYSCON-PlantStar to enhance the production monitoring capabilities of its core solution, DTR Plastics™ ERP. South Bend, Ind.-based SYSCON-PlantStar, a provider of manufacturing execution systems (MES, or production and process monitoring systems) for plastics manufacturers, has partnered with DTR to create DTR QuickShot. This integrated ERP and MES solution provides a sophisticated, Web-based, graphical user interface for the real-time picture of the shop floor including: production, cycle time, up- and down-time, scrap, job schedules, material usage, tool change schedules, machine utilization, and production efficiency.
