HEADLINE PRODUCTS Roller Pullers™ Improve Parting Line Sequencing Progressive Components’ Roller Pullers™ advance the standards over other devices for controlling the sequence of openings for parting lines within a mold.
Progressive’s new Roller
Pullers feature these advantages:
·
Smooth, Friction Free
action ideal for cleanroom operations & mid-volume production runs
targeted to perform beyond a million cycles · No grease required on external components · Spring ‘sight window’ for adjusting pull force · Mounting pattern compatible with industry standards; straightforward installation · Competitively priced In 3-plate molds, use the Roller Pullers to draw the “A plate” away from the “X plate”, exposing the runner. For stripper plate molds, Roller Pullers are a means to retain a B side, “X plate” or hold the cavity side plate while side actions are being pulled. In addition to parting line sequence control, Roller Pullers can be used to pull or retain double ejector plates, or to retain any other floating mold plate. Should “real world” conditions require additional pull force, tool room personnel are able to adjust pulling force up to 2-1/2 times the original setting using the spring sight window.
Husky Acquires Moldflow's Manufacturing Solutions Division
Husky Injection
Molding Systems Ltd. has acquired substantially all of the assets of
Moldflow
Corporation's Manufacturing Solutions Division for $7 million. The
Husky is one of the largest suppliers of hot runners and tooling for the injection molding industry. Through this acquisition, the Company will expand its product offering by adding temperature controllers, process management and data communication software to its leading hot runner and machine portfolio. Husky will offer customers Altanium temperature controllers, Celltrack and Shotscope software products, as well as MPX under license, Moldflow Corporation's automated process set-up and optimization tool. In addition, the Company will continue to offer the current line of LEC and TTC hot runner controllers during a transition period.
D-M-E Raises the Bar With New Valve Gate Controllers
D-M-E's VCTH and VCTB controllers use solid-state timers and relays with a life rating of 10 million cycles—100 times more durable than competitors' life rating of 100,000 cycles. At three shots a minute, operating around the clock, a new D-M-E VCTH controller will run for approximately six years, far beyond that of a controller with a 100,000-cycle rating will last at the same output. These valve gate controllers are equipped with solid-state timers that provide resolution to 0.01 second, far exceeding the industry standard of 0.10 second. This precision makes them perfect for small-part production that requires exact material flow into the mold.
