D-M-E Debuts Quick Strip
This idea was conceived by a reputed mold maker. In order to be able to offer a competitive product, he devised a system that will save up to 50% on mold costs and can be used with about 15% of all applications. The Quick Strip eliminates the need for ejector plates. It is also possible to install an improved mold-cooling system where ejection pins were creating obstacles in the past. Furthermore, savings are made on cycle time by the elimination of the ejection stroke. And, in addition, there is also the cosmetic advantage – no marks of the ejection pins on the product. D-M-E offers it in 3 standard sizes that are available off the shelf.
