Mastercam X3 Mill Makes Current Processes
More Efficient  

Mastercam X3 Mill offers expanded machining flexibility and an increased emphasis on speed and automation. Dozens of new enhancements are inclu-ded in this package and are intended to improve shop floor productivity.

·       Feature Based Machining (FBM) – FBM evaluates a part’s features and automatically designs an effective machining strategy. FBM can detect solid machining features for pocketing, contouring, and drilling routines. 

• 2D High Speed Toolpaths – Offers superior finish and longer tool life. These new toolpaths can make processes more efficient and automated, while minimizing programming and cycle times.

D-M-E Introduces Cold Runner System for Elastomers 

Until now, processing Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR), High Temperature Vulcanizing (HTV) silicone rubber and other elastomers has meant wasting extensive resources developing your own equipment. Now  D-M-E’s standardized cold deck solution will save you time—and let you focus on high-value core and cavity work.  

This system also minimizes leftover sprue and cuts cycle times and setting times. And while traditional cold runner technology can create more than 70% scrap in elastomer processing, the D-M-E system eliminates that scrap, creating a dramatic savings. 

This cold runner can be accompanied by a valve gate for absolute shut-off; a vacuum unit ensuring very tight tolerances; and a valve gate controller, creating a complete package. The wide range of system offerings is sure to suit your specifications:

New Mold Release for Low Gloss, Urethane Auto Components 

Huron Technologies, Inc.'s new Release Coating 7644 achieves superior results for molding urethane automotive components. Extensive testing and ongoing production use after the trials verified all test results, the company says. 

Mold Release Coating RC 7644 performance results include:

• Excellent uniformity of urethane surface including in-mold painted surface

• Low Gloss Control-targeted at 1.8--2.4, can be adjusted lower

• Preserves full richness of paint color

• Improves scuff and mar resistance

• Lowers build-up on mold surface

• Performs well with glued leather adhesion
