Progressive Components Announces Needle Bearing Lock Expansion

Since their introduction in 2005, Progressive’s exclusive Needle Bearing Locks have proven to be a problem-solving solution that has earned a place in leading Mold Spec books.

To further ease integration into a variety of tools, the Company has announced the addition of three new sizes of the unique lock in a Side Lock configuration, and two new sizes in a Top Lock orientation. This style features a patented ‘live cage’, which allows for proper bearing performance, versus pocket trapped rollers.

Needle Bearing Locks are just one of many alignment lock styles and configurations available, as no one offers more options than Progressive.

Gesswein Introduces EDtapper for EDM Machines

The EDtapper from Gesswein adds CNC capabilities to your sinker EDM machine, allowing you to tap a wide variety of holes. Just attach to machine as you would an electrode with magnet or shank, affix electrode to electrode holder, position, extend and fix base foot, adjust horizontal movement scale, and operate. Complete setup takes just 5 minutes!

Features Include:

  • Converts vertical movement to orbital movement.

  • Forms the whole depth of the thread in a single orbital cycle.

  • Eliminates need for interfering with the machine’s circuits.

  • Maintains machine features of sinking and withdrawal.

  • Controlled via the control panel of the machine.

  • Designed so electrode withdrawal is made towards hole center (improves flushing).

  • Flexible hose for spraying fluid right through the electrode.

  • Two positions for electrode attachment: orbital fixed angular or orbital and rotational about its axis..

  • Special attachment for easy electrode removal and replacement (prevents cross-threading).
