HEADLINE PRODUCTS HASCO Unveils Z202 Value Shot Nozzle
Ideal for the production of parts with large article weights, the Value Shot Z202 line offers larger nozzles with lengths up to 250 mm. In addition, the available nozzle lengths for the small nozzle diameters in the portfolio have been extended, making the new Z202/... Value Shot particularly useful for multi-cavity applications with low cavity-to-cavity distances (min 25mm). The customer now has a choice of 28 different nozzle sizes. Made of a special molybdenum alloy, the nozzle tips enable the processing of filled molding compounds and engineering plastics, and have outstanding thermal conductivity in the gate as well as being resistant to abrasive wear.
New open nozzle tips
of CuCoBe are ideal for gating onto sub-runners or for direct gating
with sprue, and are perfect for optically demanding parts. They also
feature a newly developed needle
Mastercam
X2 Now Certified for Autodesk CNC Software, developer of Mastercam CAD/CAM software, announced that its Mastercam X2 CAD/CAM Software has been certified for Autodesk Inventor 2009 software by the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program. Gary Hargreaves, Director of Business Development for CNC Software, said, “The flow from design to manufacture becomes easier for both Inventor and Mastercam customers, where the designer can be assured that the part designed in Inventor is precisely the part that is machined with Mastercam.”
Mastercam X2 has a direct add-in for Autodesk Inventor, a new way to
boost productivity. Free to the Mastercam and Autodesk communities,
Mastercam Direct enables users to open a model in Mastercam while in
an Inventor session, and then update toolpaths to reflect changes to
the model. Mastercam X2 is able to read in native Inventor files for
design purposes and toolpath generation.
Kistler Instruments has introduced a special version of its Type 6182B miniature mold pressure sensor for use when molding plastics material reinforced with glass-fiber and other abrasive materials. The Type 6182BCE has a chromium plated front face but is otherwise identical to the standard product including single wire technology for quick and easy installation in multi-cavity molds. Sensitivity is 2.5 pC/bar over the operating range of 0 to 2000 bar in the melt temperature range up to 450 °C. The operating temperature range is 0 to 200°C and the front diameter is only 2.5mm making the sensor suitable for small parts molding in multi-cavity molds.
