HEADLINE PRODUCTS PRIAMUS Launches Waterproof Temperature Sensors
PRIAMUS established the basis for this by developing specific cavity temperature sensors. These sensors stand out with a very small design, have a very fast reaction time and are yet very robust for the handling. Now PRIAMUS has extended the product line and offers waterproof cavity temperature sensors. The new product enables the user to clean the sensors easily and safely in the ultrasonic bath. The sensors can also be mounted in the cooling circuit, which brings a number of new applications with it. In addition, the corresponding quick disconnects for the easy mounting of mold inserts are also waterproof. Thus the whole measuring chain is waterproof, guaranteeing enhanced quality assurance.
EWIKON Introduces Electrical Needle Drive Unit for Valve Gate Systems
Compared with hydraulic or pneumatic needle actuation the electri-cal needle drive unit requires no complex installation geometry. The external control unit allows precise operation for up to 8 needles. When working in the setup mode, stepwise needle movement with increment < 0,05 mm is possible. During operation an intelligent fault management with monitoring function controls the closing positions of the needles. If a deviation is detected, the needle automatically re-adjusts its position within one molding cycle. The electrical needle drive unit is suitable for use with nozzles with flow channel diameters from 3 mm to 9 mm, therefore covering a broad shot weight range. Three installation sizes are available.
CCE’s EnSuite Adds Useful Updates
The set material type function of EnSuite Version 2 makes it possible to assign a material type to each component within an assembly. The software provides a database of materials that includes their mass properties. Once the material type has been assigned to a component or components within an assembly, its mass can be calculated with a single click. The exploded view function of EnSuite Version 2 expands upon the existing capability to quickly isolate that part by making all of the other parts in the assembly transparent. While the isolate part function makes it possible to quickly identify and view a part, the exploded view capability goes one step further by showing how parts fit together with other parts in the assembly without interference from other parts.
