Multi-Tip Nozzle for Medical and
The new Star-Line nozzle with linear arrangement is based on the established, Star-Line nozzle with circular tip arrangement. The gating is achieved, as before, with a tip insert directly onto the side of the part surface. The tip inserts are only installed after the assembly of the stationary side from the parting line of the mold. This ensures a high degree of maintenance and service friendliness. The nozzle is particularly suitable for molding long, thin-walled parts, such as pipettes or syringe barrels. With a parallel arrangement of the nozzles articles can be gated directly from two sides, helping to prevent the deflection of thin cores from the injection pressure. In other cases, the linear layouts are necessary with certain part removals from the mold. The pitch dimension between parts can be 48 – 56 mm. Standard nozzles are designed for up to four tip inserts with a distance of between 10 – 26 mm between articles.
