DME Company Introduces Friction Puller

DME has added the Friction Puller to its line of mold components.

The Friction Puller is a component designed to provide optimal parting
line mold plate control by using friction
at a specified setting to release the mold plate when the travel limit is achieved.

The Friction Puller is self-locating in
case of plate shifting due to thermal expansion or machining variances.
It features reference arrows enabling easy adjustment, and a self-venting design eliminating the need for secondary operations with additional machining.

Other competitive advantages of the Friction Puller include its Nylon 6 resin and 8620 fastener composition, providing an economical method for mold plate control with a maximum operating temperature of 248° F (120° C) and secure installation. Additionally, the Friction Puller features a Nylok® patch for secure installation and easy plate separation prior to mold removal.

The D-M-E Friction Puller is available in four diameters – 10mm, 13mm, 16mm and 20mm – to accommodate most molding applications.

INCOE® Introduces Patented* Laminate Manifold Technology

INCOE® has developed a patented*
manifold technology featuring a laminate construction. The manifolds are an addition
to INCOE®’s current range of Standard, Custom and Opti-Flo® manifold designs.

Manifold halves are machined to mirror
each other and then metallurgically fused
to create a complete laminate manifold.
This eliminates the need for welded plugs
associated with gun drilled designs. INCOE®’s patent improves the manufacturing process resulting in a superior “bond” when fused.  Inherent in the laminate manifold design is the ability to manufacture flow channels that are difficult or impossible to produce using conventional gun drill methods.

John Blundy, V.P. Business Development for INCOE® stated, “The laminate design expands our existing range of manifolds with a product that provides improved processing of challenging resins.
Our customers now benefit by having access to this technology in addition to the existing full range of hot runner products and services offered globally.”
